Church & giving policy
Version 2026-10 · Draft pending legal and Flutterwave review.
- Only Christian churches and ministries may register. Funds must be used for church, ministry and Christian charitable purposes.
- A church must complete full verification — documents, lead identity check, 2–3 deacon trustee approvals, lawyer review, accountant review and Helpr approval — before giving is enabled.
- The payout bank account must be held in the church's registered name. Changing it pauses giving until Helpr re-authorises it.
- Building fund, missions and welfare categories require Helpr approval.
- Churches must respond to donor queries and refund requests in good faith.
- Pastoral and assistance requests must be handled confidentially by authorised pastoral staff only.
- Helpr may suspend or revoke a church for false information, misuse of funds, misleading appeals or policy breaches.
